Nice ones Steve, second works better for me, has a bit more impact, but both look good.

Here's my go at it

Hue Sat on duplicate to darken the greens. Selective color to add back a little yellow.

An Alien Skin filter on the background for texture.

Lighting effect on a copy of the totem pole with reds set to max mountains.
