I am messing with this right now.
But had to share this.
Make a Hue/Saturation Ad Layer to this one, leave as RGB and move the Hue slider to see the effect. You also get an effect on any of the other colours singly.

Wild, Gary! :-)

Peter, I just did your "thing" and it's almost like an animation if you move the hue slider fast enough. Also maxing the saturation slider gives some funky effects.

OK heres mine I was trying to make it look cartoonish at first but stopped when it looked like this.
I like it anyway
