| | | Re: Guf Fawkes night It sounded like East Beirut outside my house last night, and the dogs were going spare, so I had to calm them down, and didn't get to see as many fireworks as I'd have liked.
Your pictures are a nice peaceful reminder of what I missed.
Thanks. |

I have been playing with filters for your photos John....
The one i changed to blue with Flaming Pears Aetherize,Niks color solarize and a frame from AAA filters..
The other two i cropped a bit and used Lucis Art Pluggin and Niks color solarize...frame again from AAA filters...

| | | Re: Guy Fawkes night Hiya Pat, nice to "see" you again...Yes I am very happy with the camera...there's more settings on it than you can shake a stick at tho' and remembering what they all do is a nightmare! For instance there is a dedicated setting on it for firework displays, and then there are 3 different settings inside that! It took me a while to work out the best way to "capture" the explosions(157 pics and only about 20 or so any good )----I love what you've done with the pics especially the second one, you seem to be able to get Lucis to do just enough....magic!!!
Gary...yea it was like a war zone around here all weekend! and there are at least five more pubs, that I know of, doing displays tonight! it makes you wonder where all the fireworks come from!
Anyway I'm now going to have a play myself to see what I can come up with.

| | | Re: Guy Fawkes night Wow, I really like everybody's interpretations of these great fireworks pictures.
Thanks, John, for providing them. Also, your interpretation is my favorite.
Here's my go. Increased color saturation, and used a bit of PaintEngine and Impressionist on it.
Enjoy!

| | | You got it; another mosaic. A GIMPressionist Mosaic to be precise (just tweaking a few settings). Attached is a crop of the complete rendering. |
