How to achieve the brush stroke look

Here is one that I have been working on for the past year -it is off the street outside my son's window in NJ.
I used lots of steps but the second to the last was master painter and high key at 54%. I am having trouble getting the brush strokes to really feel like strokes. Could use some help please.
should I give it more hk or what??????????

ps what happened to the little thing that made the picture bigger??

Nice pic to start with and a nice manipulation to this point. I esp. like the colors.

I'm not familiar with master painter. Is that a program? a Photoshop action or what?

If you mean getting simulated bristle marks to show up, the "stroke depth, bristle marks and impasto look" are things programs like Painter, Gertrudis or (Mac) Studio Artist do well. Under the right circumstances some "smudge brushes" in Photoshop can give this look, too. Trimoon is a master of this. Check out his brush downloads at www.Trimoon.com.

Hmmm... The forum software here at RetouchPRO has not changed in a year or so.

Could you be thinking of the DPReview forum's "zoom in" feature?

this only occurs when the image size is larger than the window pane/viewing area in your browser. your images are smaller than that, so you get no 'enlarge' option down in the corner.

also, if your images were large enough, simply move the mouse off the image and then back over it. wait a second or two and it will show up.

Well I used Trimoon's art brush art333 over the original pic for the first on and the second on is a modified version on a tut by trimoon. Let me know what you think about all four of them -I want to give one to my son and daughter-in-law for their new house in Newark, NJ.
