Talking Comic book art.. mostly..

Granted, my photo was too contrasty to begin with, BUT I am fairly happy with how this photo art turned out.. I hope this is the right forum to post it in.

I couldn't retain much detail when I did 'save for web', so here is a link to a better finished image: http://www.auroraskye.com/LJ/katcomic2SM.jpg

I appreciate any feedback.. I know that my image caused issues particularly with the lines.. but it's a learning process in all realms..

A combination layering of Buzz Pro and Snap Art Comic. And my usual tweaking till I'm satisfied with the final image.

Re: Comic book art.. mostly..

Here's my take on this.

Loadsa noise reduction then the Cutout filter then Dragonfly's Retrodots for the halftone pattern.

Re: Comic book art.. mostly..

Aurorskye - I think the version that you have posted is original and you've captured a cartoon look more than a comic book style. Although you are not using half tone patterns, so what? Your rendition has original qualities to it and no doubt compliments the subject.

Often, when one mimics half tone press or laser patterns. They may seem to look fine when you are working on them, but sometimes when reduced in size they can become somewhat less than attractive.

Re: Comic book art.. mostly..

Just adding stippling to the mix. Attached is a low quality crop; here's the complete high quality version.
