| | | Snake River Rainbow I drive through the snake river canyon every day going to and from work. I left to work early one day to get a picture of this tree at sunrise. Much to my disappointment is was very cloudy and rainy that morning. I was actually leaving without taking any pictures when I noticed the rainbow forming and snapped this photo.
It's not a great photo but it makes a pretty decent water color.

| | | Re: Snake River Rainbow Alan, that is very pretty. Nice colors and good composition. The rainy sky gives it a lot of interest I think.
Did you take any other pics that day? It would be fun to play with the hills and valleys with the PWL technique.

| | | Re: Snake River Rainbow Tough assignment to manipulate this nice image and keep the subtle rainbow. So I just ran a little Buzz and let it go at that.

| | | Re: Snake River Rainbow Gorgeous photo. It's been too many years since I was up your way. I too feel you are blessed to live in the area of the country you do. The variety, and the sheer vastness of it all must give you lots and lots of photo ops. Feel free to submit pictures for the rest of us to enjoy any time!!!!!!

| | | Re: Snake River Rainbow Alan, great photo, but in playing with this it appears that it was a DOUBLE rainbow. Look closely in the upper left corner and a faint rainbow is evident. I found it when playing with HSL adjustments and levels. |

Palms | I still didn't get around to pwl
Technically I would have to call my picture "play with dark".
