| | | Peace... Rose for your painting/enhancement enjoyment.
We had been shooting indoors all day because it was raining. As soon at the sun peeked out, it hit the roses. This was shot at ISO400 at a 1000th of a second and F16. Usually I shoot flowers at F4 or lower. This was an oops. I think it turned out ok.
I'll be interested to see what everyone comes up with.
Merry Christmas. Enjoy.
Janet

| | | Re: Peace... Janet, That's one beautiful rose shot! Sorry I went and messed it all up by smudging it with the liquify filter and adding a find edges. :-)

| | | Re: Peace... Craig, a little of both. As I adjusted the curves, there were some areas that went totally black and some that were just way to distractingly white to leave that way. So I darkened them.
A black background is easy to do if you shoot with an f-stop of f-16-22 and use a flash. I've done that several times. This time, I forgot to change the ISO when I went outside. The flower turned out great, the background was mottled.
Does that make sense?

Palms, I thought the name was especially appropriate considering that I took the picture in Jerusalem, Israel.
Happy, healthy, safe New Year to everyone.

Why not something greenish? |
