At the end of the path you may find a golden box filled with more paths and more trees for you to explore...

Palms - nice shot.

Swampy - very cool effect & nicely done. Any tips on how you did this?

Pointillism.

Used Paint Engine and a lot of lighting effects (some hue/sat adjustements too) for this rendering. Attached is a very low quality crop. Here's the complete rendering.

This is my all time favorite poem. It also happens to be the one I was thinking about when I saw this thread and thought about something exciting I could do with it.

Thank you for sharing this wonderful picture with so much potential.

Janet

P.S. And Steve, I may just use Frost's poem as well.

lkroll -- ooooo! All the shimmery lights -- cool!!

Palms -- wonderful image!!

Now, what to do, what to do...

Thank you, Janet.

Frost is my wife's favorite poet. And since that was only the last verse in "The Road Less Traveled", you can add a lot to what I posted.

You are welcome. But I went with the Beatles instead.

Beatles -- modern day poets. Executed your idea very well -- great adaptation.

I decided to add some sunlight below, (the sun is out here, but the wind is blowing, and I'm feeling chilly -- I want as much sun as I can get).

Way too many options for...

...a fifth dimensional being. LOL

Just playing with Mathmap, Small Tiles, and Whirl and Pinch. Attached is a very small lower quality view to keep the forum guru happy. Here's the high-res view (over 1M in size, but I believe you won't regret clicking it).

Re: Trees and a path

Well wow guys you have all surpassed yourself again ( why am i surprised i should be used to it by now ) this photo was took about 3 years ago and has lurked on a disc ever since although i liked it i have never known what to do with it ! As mentioned before Barbara wanted a foliage photo for a technique she is working on, i thougt of this one so posted it not expecting so many excellent renditions of it with some poetry and song lyrics as a bonus

Steve I had not heard/read this poem before but now i know it i love it ! will google him later ( nice painting too)

Alex that's the ticket no ending

Ikroll yours gives off a somewhat mystical feel

Janet that is very clever

C.J.the sunlight through the trees really does warm you up and think of summerday's
Gerry that gives a somewhat sinister feel to it nice but i wouldnt walk down the path

Peter , been there with the kids ( watched shrek numerous times)

Ikroll second one. I got the mad Peter disease i can see monsters there

Frank you have inspired me must find the dry brush out

To finish this essay off I have decided not to tell you all what is at the end of the path ( it is boring really) and leave it to your imaginations to wonder about

Thank you all
Palms

Now Palms, your making me think about what people say happens when you listen to Black Sabbath music playing backwards - and thats mad.

Well check out this one.
Little faces honest - one at the top, and the one at the bottom even though its upside down - still a face (they are at the sides as well of course, but on there sides).
This was only a rotate and mirror exercise just to see what would come out.

Thanks for the support LK (I shall wear it always)
