| | | Re: Floral This made with a technique I developed a couple of years ago. I called it "Puffy Flowers". It's an interesting way of introducing depth to a painterly image, don't you think? |

Mine done with AHB plus a lot of detail thanks to Ro's tips. Still need to play with that a little - may have over done it a bit.

| | | Re: Floral Thanks, Dee Dee and Peter. I've attached a couple more examples of the technique.
Actually it's pretty simple (like most things) -- just takes a little experimentation. PhotoImpact has what's called the "Button Designer", which essentially helps you bevel virtually any shape. For this, I make color range selections and apply beveling to them. To these I sometimes add shadows. Stacking several of these can lead to some interesting results.
Don't know if PS or PSP or ? have similar functions, but Eye Candy's Bevel Boss plugin does just about the same thing (though it seems to lose any transparency). Hopefully, someone will give it a try and share their findings. |

I particularly like the pictures you posted as examples.
I tried to do the same in PSCS2. |
