How do you create this look?

Hi,

When I was in London I bought a couple of pieces by Jurek Nems - www.jn66.com.

He has a "hand-painted" look that I really like. I've taken some pictures of local monuments under very dramatic skies, but so far I can't seem to get close to his look.

It looks like some of them are composites.
Any advice would be appreciated.

shobley thank you for this link. you right his work is brilliant!!!
some of the images look like HDR to me .
some of those sure look like composites.
but anything is possible here on retouchPro, im sure ppl here will help you to achive this look, or at least will help you to get close to it. heck i would love to know . so just post an image and lets figure it out.

Hey Steve,
I am also wondering if it is an HDR type taken with Lomo in mind plus composites and who knows what else. Oh yeah, imagination.
