These boats at Colter Bay Marina appear to be waiting patiently for the ice to melt off the lake.

My "artsy" version was done using a few stock filters, blending modes and pattern layers.

Alan -- I really like this a lot -- love the two different types of clouds and the way the cirrus (I think) clouds seem to radiate out in all directions. I'm guessing it was shot at wide-angle, which also adds to the drama of the sky/clouds/mountains. Also love your choice of where to shoot from and what to include in the frame.

In other words, I think the original is photo-based art, even before you and the rest of us process it with our art filters and brushes. Of course, having an excellent original makes it even more fun to do digital art!
