Okay, so it's a face only a mother could love but just the same I thought it was a good opportunity to get creative.

My second version was done using stock PS filters (going back to basics) and blending modes.

Thanks for posting the bison. I've been working on black and white techniques and spent hours "playing" with the bison. Here are a couple of my attempts.

Card... Oh give me a home where the buffalo roam... Thanks for the play.

Cleaned up, Cropped, Smudged in Liquify filter and sharpened. Painted with Pattern Stamp Tool, textures added.

LOL, Peter! There was a day, but the old bones are getting too brittle. I like your buff. Neat texture/brush stroke effect.

Ikrol: nice effect. I used PainterX cloners for impressionistic underpainting and impasto paint, and CS3 styles to add a indian motif.
