Cross Lake bayou

this is a photo from mysticblueraven, a member of the filter forge forums and excellent filter creator. she posted this picture over there and i asked her if i could post it here in the art forum. she graciously consented. she took the picture and is the copyright holder. i think it's gorgeous.

i'm linking to the original so you can get a better resolution and also posting a standard 100k image if you prefer that.

the link is http://www.filterforge.com/upload/fo.../crosslake.jpg

Re: Cross Lake bayou

Very pretty scene, Craig.

In Photoshop:
* Boosted saturation
* Applied Buzz Simplifier 1
* Duplicate Buzz layer
* Impressionist plugin
* Blend selectively using layer mask
* Add edges

Still experimenting with Tonemapping. Had to do some other things too. Here's the full version.

Re: Cross Lake bayou

Great Photo.

* Used "Trace Bitmap" feature in Corel Draw.
* Color adjustments in PS.
* Snap Art Oil Painting filter.
* Hand brush work.
* Further color adjustments and sharpening.

Re: Cross Lake bayou

Essential Layers, Anisotropic diffusion and posterize to 6 colors for a watercolor-like rendition.

Added my favorite frame.
