Creative Interpretations - Oriental Garden

I thought this would make a great picture to paint. I give photo credit to Philg at MIT.

I had fun with this using Trimoons sketching technique with a couple tweaks.

Nice, Oltenius. Yours has a whimsical feel.

Steve... Hey, it looks more Van Gogh than Lautrec. <wink>

Nice one Swampy, I thought I'd try something similar myself.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Oriental Garden

nice, dee dee. i like how you simplified it.

oltenius, great use of color wheel rules.

i've been on an enhance kick lately. rather than paint, i've been trying to simply bring out more of the image or just better it somehow as a photo, while still running over into the art area a bit.

so, i cleaned things up a bit first, then tinted the water and changed the flower color. i followed that with a usm and a clarify and cropped the whole thing down a bit.

Really like Oriental Gardens Dee Dee. Did some preprocessing (ACE, AAA Fotofix, etc.) and then did some vector simplication blending.

I like this one!

Nothing special, but re-coloring and outlining here.
