Re: Creative Interpretations - In the Plaza

Swampy, I used a Nagel Series 40 brush, either a splatter or watercolor, and painted on a white layer using a reveal all mask.

Alan... Here's my version of your technique. I also used a Nagel with some tweeks in the brush palette. Thanks for the tip.

This one was fun to artify. It has so much character.

Alan, love your rendition.

[QUOTE=Swampy;160687]Steve, another nice one from you. There is a man way in the background to the right of that big tall red door at center left, but that was my first thought too. Must have been early morning.

Boy! Are you observant!

Thanks.

Still mostly PSP, with a side trip to PSE 4 for some help now and again. This is PSP and Snap Art manipulations mostly.

Re: Creative Interpretations - In the Plaza

actually, there is a person in the shot.

now, i dont think i've ever said this of any image posted here and particularly with the level of talent that exists here with you all, but i like the original more than the renditions done. and i mean no disparagement of anyone's work. it's just that this is a VERY good shot. the subtle changes in lighting, the various elements spread out, the color balance... it's like a collage all by itself and a very well done one.

that probably wont keep me from trying one of my own, but it's just a great shot!

You're right, Craig. The overall composition of this photo just pleases the eye.
