Red face Re: Sky/Sea

Palms I'm very flattered that you like mine enough to want to print it.

You definitely have my permission to print it out. If you would like me to send you the larger file let me know and I will.

Re: Sky/Sea

I've been working on this for a while. I'm thinking of making some revisions but haven't had the time yet. Too many projects in the fire...LOL

Re: Sky/Sea

Thanks, Palms. The sunset colors were inspired by a Cory Barker segment in Photoshop TV episode 95 (August 20, 2007). I added a "blue" layer underneath and used a layer mask on the sunset colors layer to blend it into the layer underneath. The water and sun reflection were also inspired by the same segment. I added a red layer above the sea the set the blend mode to color and adjusted the opacity to achieve the color.

Since I'm in Las Vegas for Photoshop World and on a laptop, I don't have access to the original work and cannot check my explanation with that file so I'm relying on my memory.

Re: Sky/Sea

The birds are a nice touch Gerry, they draw your attention into the sky colours where it's all happening.

Foreground doesn't quite work for me somehow, but love the overall image.

I admit the foreground needs something. I had taken several pictures in Carlsbad, CA at sunset and these were the basis of the picture. The rocks started out as silouettes and morphed into what they are now. I am planning to break them up in several layers and do something with each, but that will have to wait until I get back from Las Vegas.

Thanks for the critique.
