Re: Creative Interpretations - Umbrellas

Thought I should give it a try... Attempting to stay rather soft.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Umbrellas

Thanks Swampy. You always pick such nice photos to work with.

On this one I used the water color AHB in PS for the base, then I used the chalk AHB to bring up detail. I then used Lucis Art Winslow filter for effect. I also used a Trimoon preset for paint texture on a new layer and then used overlay as the blending mode. Some hue and sat adjustments finished it off.

Juergen! Always great to see now folks playing along. Very nice water color. :-)

Cathy... That is lovely. I'll have to check out Steve's preset for painting texture. He always has such wonderful "new" techniques.

Thank you, Swampy. Being creatively somewhat challenged, I do appreciate your comment.

Juergen... You have to start somewhere and I think you did just fine. Heck, I can't draw a straight line on a piece of graph paper even if you give me ruler. I'm such a clutz.

Okay, Pete! Way to get started! It has photographic qualities with some texture and color added.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Umbrellas

This was such an interesting picture and I kind of had an idea of what I wanted my interpretation to look like, but, I'm not sure that I achieved it . But, I sure had fun trying all kinds of different tools. Thanks for the fun Swampy!

Re: Creative Interpretations - Umbrellas

Thanks Chillin,
I thought this would be a great Pointilist pic. (Thanks for the image Swampy.) And tried to progress from my previous method, but gave up when I reached the stage below. I'll have to wait for my ideas retreval system to reboot.
My own favourite is Casubi's first effort - great effect!

P.S. Relax - there are no enemies in Retouch Pro.
