Creative Intrepretations - Just Walk In

Here's a fun painting project. Needs some color correction and I'd be interested to see your colors.

Yours has a mysterious feel, Michel. Nice

Summerz, that's a real cool take. The yellow and purple are very striking.

Nice find Swampy

Went slightly darker as well, plus straightened it up a little.

Ohhh, I really like your color choice, Peter. It's like the gateway is glowing. :-)

Not a painting, but I liked the greener greens and the yellows and reds.

Yes, Juergen. I think you colors are pretty realistic. I've seen so many of these gates in southern Florida and the walls are usually white or yellowish orange.

Re: Creative Intrepretations - Just Walk In

Hi all,

Great garden gate scene we have here and a great chance for me to try out my GERTRUDIS program. With the exception of the soft matting and the texture this was done using the water color settings in GERTRUDIS. I really like this program and have used it as a begining step for other styles -- even sketches. It gives it a more drawing like look and paint look rather than that photo look. Sometimes many of my photoart works look more like a photo than art. A litttle too acurate on color and technique. Hope you all enjoy my version of this great picture. One thing about this picture there are many ways to address it and you all have done great. Can't wait to see others soon.

Palms, I think that is one of your best painting ever! Texture is great. You said you used embossing. Mind explaining?

Re: Creative Intrepretations - Just Walk In

I desaturated it; inverted it; increased the contrast and then colorized it.
