| | | Anyone for an Iguana? Took this last January on Roatan in Honduras. Used it for my (almost) first foray into AHB, following Palms' tutorial. Seemed only fitting to add it to the collection of frogs and turtles - I have a couple of snakes if anyone's interested

| | | This is not a stipple. Can't believe how much detail was available that only a few layer enhancements and Flaming Pear's Mr. Contrast was all that was need to do this one. |

I added a frame then buttonized inside the pic. |

| | | Re: Anyone for an Iguana? lkroll - You can always be counted on to find interesting approaches! palms - Thanks for your kind words. Your version is great. You should be in a messing around mode more often (not sure that came out right; it's not implying that your 'normal' mode isn't great too . . .) summerz - Another novel approach. I wouldn't have thought of buttonizing.

I especially liked glikster's version and tried to do something similar. Used AHB and impressionist. |

| | | Re: Anyone for an Iguana? Susie, Dan, and glikster,
It's fascinating to see different people using the same tools to produce somewhat different looks, all very attractive.
Actually, Susie, the snakes were taken by a friend, so on those I can take credit only for color correction and cropping. She's got a super toad too. Might just have to post both, once her permission is confirmed.

| | | Re: Anyone for an Iguana? Carol, I don't get around much anymore (<--been listening to too much Sinatra lately) and don't use my camera very often, but my niece just returned from Bali and sent a ton of pics to share with the family. I saw some absolutely fabulous ones that I wanted to share with the forum here, but... never got an o.k. to do so . I DO have a wild turkey that my Labs chased up a tree this summer as well as a snake consuming a frog but not sure the quality is good enough to share here.
Several weeks ago, a cougar dashed across the road in front of my house, would have been a beautiful shot but I didn't have my camera ready. I need to keep my camera ready! |

| | | Re: Anyone for an Iguana? Susie,
I too don't get around much any more, but discovered cruise ships (with a little prodding from my sister) a year or so ago and got hooked. Great for an old gimp like me - a nice hotel room that takes me to neat places that I'd never get to otherwise.
You should post your turkey and snake. Let the folks here decide whether or not they're 'good enough'. I for one would like to play with them. And I know what you mean about keeping the camera ready. Mine is always right beside my computer. The last time I wanted to take a shot the batteries were dead! Can't win.

| | | Re: Anyone for an Iguana? Carole, what a wonderful discovery ~ cruise ships. I haven't been on one... y-e-t, but have heard so many wonderful things about the cruise up the west coast from California up to Alaska. That's the one I want to go on first.
I took a look at my turkey and snake pics and I've uploaded one of the snake, will upload the turkey tomorrow. I'm anxious to see some of the talented regulars to this forum make them look very interesting! |
