| | | Re: Creative Intrepretations - Old Antique Shoppe Thank you, Susie. I basically used my Watercolor Tutorial with a couple tweaks. I used some very textured brushes. One of them was a stippleing brush that I got somewhere along the way. Also used my Line Art tutorial for the "sketching" and adjusted it's layer opacity and Levels.
You'll find my tutorials by following the "Tutorials" link below. Or link to them from RetouchPRO's tutorial's forums. :-) |

| | | Re: Creative Intrepretations - Old Antique Shoppe LOL, Steve. I'm definitely NOT an antiquer. I have enough "stuff" sitting around my house already. But I thought it would make a fun picture to paint 'cause it's so different. Yours look like needlepoint! :-)
Two nice ones, Palms. I like the sepia one. |

Palms | Palms,
Really nice sepia! Did not think of it even though I am fond of black and white and sepia, especially for old time pictures... I was looking for spicy colors!
By the way, you can add the 'colour halftone' effect and get a realistic printed advertisement look to it. I just upsized your picture to 200% and lowered the strength of the colour halftone to a minimum (4) on a duplicate layer in softlight mode (otherwise the halftone pattern will be too coarse.)

Michel B | Michel thanks for that, wouldnt have thought of the upsizing, or the softlight, It works well it lookeda bit rough before, If i get chance i will come back to this as i have a idea to take it further.

. | Yeah, know what you mean. We are about to have a garage sale or "dump the junk" sale to reclaim some living space.
Needlepoint eh? Rats! Now I'll have to try to remember what I did to get the needlepoint look. (In case they have a contest for best needlepoint image )
