Re: So you like trucks...

Since I haven't had time to play for some time now, and nobody else had done a sketch, thought I'd do one.

Re: So you like trucks...

When informed when this truck was built my daughter observed, "Wow, Daddy. You're older than it is!" (Yeah, yeah, yeah...How sad is THAT?)

Wonderful pic anyway, Janet.

Used a PS action for auto placement of images in 2 columns/3 rows, followed by some fooling around with adjustment layers for variety -- about 5 minutes work.

Sad, but typical. Welcome to the club. Wanna count gray hairs with me? I'll bet I have more than you do.

I like the creative showcase you built here. I'm especially interested in the halftone rendition. I can't ever seem to get that filter to work properly. What settings did you use? I can see all sorts of applications for that one.

Janet

Palms... Here's a trick for rendering a halftone.

1. Image > Size > 200% (Constrain Proportions)
2. Sketch > Halftone Pattern
3. Image > Size > 50% (Constrain Proportions)

Play with this and see what ya get.

Janet
Using Image > Image size I increased resolution from 72 ppi to 144 ppi. With FG/BG colors = Black/White, Sketch > Halftone Pattern was applied with Size=3, Contrast=8 and Pattern=Dot, applied automatically via the action. Settings for this effect are definitely resolution and length/width dependent. Lucky guess in this case.

I'll bet you don't!

Re: So you like trucks...

A belated welcome to TangentMemory. "Art" takes on many forums and we're pretty flexible here.

Welcome aboard and jump in anytime.

This version: This is what happens when you start messing around with BW conversions and layer blend modes -- and lose track of "How I got here."

Cool truck, Janet. I thought I'd move it to a more harmonious setting.
