How can I achieve this effect

I'm very interested in learning how to achieve a "grunge-like" effect to a photo. I love the way this looks and would really like to know how I can achieve this. I was on photo.net and found this photographer and find her work amazing. Haleh Bryan http://photo.net/photodb/folder?folder_id=560885
I have done my research and know that their are multiple layers of texture. I would just love to see a workflow and step by step.

Lisa

Sort of looks like a High Radius Highpass filter followed by a Soft Mood filter.

Hi Lisa

Take a look at this thread and the photographer's work in the first link, It may be similar to what you are trying to find out about, except she uses flowers, she posts some workflows and textures

Palms... wow. I've spent my entire day discovering all kinds of tutorials on flickr thanks to you. I did find a wonderful photographer that sells her actions and workflow/presets while I was digging around. I indend on purchasing them (I'm so excited).
www.nicholeV.com if you want to check her out.
