I know some of you are fed up with the white stuff but here we are still hoping for some next week ( not just being cold)

On the first one i used cut out, aniso and a copy of the background overlayed on top
2nd one a watercolour action , texture, and a few layer blend modes

| Thanks very much for the offer, but we are very picky over here, the snow has to be just the right sort, or the trains stop running and industry comes to a complete halt.

The actually conversion was easy enough (though I did some selective erase throughs and limited cleaning smudges). I used GIMP's Erode filter and then enhanced the Saturation. Also, Xero's Supersmooth filter was added of course (yes, I'm ready for the flames; lol).  |

Peter i had tried for the look you have used but couldn't get any where near yours the sky is ace
and don't forget everything comes to a stand still with just half a inch of the white stuff (honestly it does just the threat of snow and everyone panics, )

Done mostly with my Watercolor Tute 101. Added a green color overlay to bring up the green in the trees. |
