| | | Orchids, anyone? These pics were among those taken by my fourteen year old granddaughter on her art class field trip to Phipps conservatory in Pittsburgh. I told her I'd like to post a couple and would email her the art if anyone cared to "artify" them. The art class uses photoshop for some of their projects, so she's a little familiar with it. I think she'd be delighted to see what the pro's come up with.

| | | Re: Orchids, anyone? Shari -- lovely images! Did she photograph them to use as art models in her class?
Nice work by Granny, Swampy, and Palms. I just worked with saturation and some accented edges. |

Neon Edge detect>Impressionfx w/ Finebuzz preset>Unplugged's Neon>Bump Map. Pretty much covers the steps. |

| | | Re: Orchids, anyone? I don't know if the flowers were for a project or not. Theclass was there to view a Chihuly art glass exhibit, so I think the flowers may have been something she just snapped because she liked them. There are several good shots she took of the glass exhibits too. I may post a couple of them later.
She's going to be thrilled to see all these interpretations.
Granny-I love the out of frame look
Swampy-I still don't have high speed, so I can only look at your work and drool
Palms-Is the texture part of the filter, or did you do it separately? I had to google to find out about adaptive equalization. Now I REALLY don't understand what it does.
CJ-soft and feminine-like an orchid
Lyle-so many different looks, so little time
Thanks to all of you.

| | | Re: Orchids, anyone? Kept this one simple too Shary. Three Bar Sin gradient set to Overlay; ran Xero's Supersmooth filter prior to flattening. Also enhanced the Saturation/color with DCSpecial's 1969 filter. |

| | | Orchids with heart. I first started out Resynthizing, but I had to do some clone brush work at the end (easy with GIMP; just select all and copy and then the brush is able to be used. I am liking 2.4 more and more). |
