| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Pastel Buildings Agreed! Steve's rendering is right on taget.
I did a few versions, but I liked best the last one.
Anyone guess the filter?

Choose a nice foreground colour.
Run Note Paper, one with image balance at 10, another at 25 and the last at 40.
Combined by layer opacity.
- Bottom 100%
- Middle 50%
- Top 33% (This combines equally the three layers)

i hadnt 'just painted' in quite a while... i do a lot of airbrushing when doing restorations, but i hardly do any when doing photo art. thought i'd change that for once |

| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Pastel Buildings Air brushing sorta rounds off the corners of shapes like buildings. I never noticed that.. good one Craig and, BTW welcome "back" to the "painters" <wink> |

| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Pastel Buildings yes, it does round corners. i was also going for a bit of sloppiness/overrun where the one color would bleed into the other a bit... just a bit here and there. every different color was done on a separate layer and i used an eraser set very light to 'wipe' away what i didnt want. it's a fun and easy technique and makes 'simplifying' an image kinda easy.
and thanks, dee dee |
