Guilded you out another one Palms.

Glad that you liked the other one Palms; thought I would try to duplicate the effect again (more for my own benifit then anything). I did omit a step last time; I blended in Retinex before Amphisoft step. Also added a distorted (of the original) reflection to the mix. This time I didn't add a reflection, but I did blend in a brushed Aluminum texture. Here's the complete (600+ K) file; really only see the brushed Aluminum affect when viewed fully.

Re: Fruity

lkroll that is sure shiny, i could see a lot of uses for the technique on wedding, anniversary, photos etc

OlBaldy i see the metallic theme is catching ? looks like silver running down the pomegranate and it has added a new dimension to a plain glass plate

OK; glass this time.

Almost the same as metal (more subtle on the effects and did not use Chrome; did use Plastic Wrap though). Still lot's of other convolutions and also added Sparkle and other GIMP lighting effects.

The Clementine and Tangerine are close cousins. Never had a Clementine, but have eaten many Satsumas. We grow Tangerines and Satumas here in Florida. Here's a squib from a page on the internet.

"Tangerines
There are different types of tangerines but the most well-known
are the Clementine and the Japanese Satsuma.
The clergyman Pierre Clement crossed a mandarin and an
orange and the result of this lucky crossing was a seedless mandarin
with a looser skin, making it easier to peel: the Clementine.
The satsuma is a crossing from Japan."

Thanks for the nice comments on my play with your photo.

Nice one, and just in time with that warm sun too. Has been a bit nippy here for the past few days, (for us that is.) Temps in the 50's in the daytime and lows in the 30's at night. Supposed to warm back up into the 70's in a day or so. That's the way our winters go. Like the old saying, "In Florida, if you don't like the weather, just wait a minute!"
