Re: Creative Interpretations - Park Your Boat Here

I had to go back a long way to find this thread but I really like the photo and wanted to give it another try.

I blended the AHB with a few filters.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Park Your Boat Here

Nice re-find Fran; been wanting to do a trubute scenic to one of my motivations that got me into computer art over a decade ago. No where near as good as Thomas would have done (may he rest in peace), but hope you all will like it anyway. As a side note, does anyone here know how Dee Dee (Swampy) is doing? Haven't heard a word about her in over a year now.

Nice painting, Lyle. I'm sure Mr. Kinkade is proud that he inspired you.

I've noticed that Swampy has been missing too. The whole board has been rather quiet of late. Hope everything is OK with everyone.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Park Your Boat Here

I'm alive and kicking', but not as high. Thank you for the inquiries.

After a year of batteling breast cancer, (I had blood work done this week for tumor markers and the reports were all good) I was then diagnosed with osteoporosis. Three weeks after that diagnosis I fell and broke my shoulder, elbow, jaw and cheekbone. At the age of 70, it was a long recovery and sitting for long periods at the computer is very uncomfortable. I still peek in here from time to time and my video tutorials are still available at deedeespage.com

Hugs to all...swampy

Swampy, so sorry to hear about all of your health problems. I hope it won't be long until you're healthy and feeling well enough to paint again.

You are missed.

Prayers and good wishes,
Fran

Swampy, I'm adding my warm welcome back to the arena of RetouchPro. The "family" hasn't been the same without you. Get well and God Bless.
