chair/vase/flower

I was trying to be artistic with the camera today (should of known better ) but it didn't work very well, so if any one wants to try and improve this shot, then please have a go.
Not all was lost though got a couple of great shots of my granddaughter

Re: chair/vase/flower

Tried to keep in tone with the don't-know-what-it-is-but-it's-fun image.

Not often I get a chance to use all my AHB one just one image!

Thanks Palms!

Re: chair/vase/flower

Oh boy do I know that feeling.... I too fail miserably :-)

But, I took a crack at it just the same:
Isolated the flower, desaturated somewhat and darkened the rest.

Heck, I think it is a great shot!
At least you are adhering to "Practice Cubed" theory and come up with some magnificent shots most of the time!

I seem to be having a problem getting away from Bas-relief, Emboss, and metal looking things.. I grab and try them on everything.. including your artistic endeavor here..

Someday I am going to have to try other ways to actually simulate natural medium and painting

Re: chair/vase/flower

Sort of a metallic watercolor look. Used Toadies metalwork filter and Xero's Artworx filter for this one (and a few other things too of course).

Re: chair/vase/flower

Ok, it's only one flower, so thought I'd take a stab at it.
