Cute Feral Kitten

a friend over on filterforge.com, Ronviers, took this picture. it is of a feral kitten which he is trying to win over. he had posted the picture over there and i asked him if i could post it here in the art forums, since i was quite taken with it. he was kind enough to say yes.

i originally was going to touch it up at first and then post it, but decided to leave it as is for you all to handle as you wish.

he also offered to send me the raw image, but i declined. if you want the raw i'd suggest contacting Ronviers through the filterforge.com email system or just post on the forums in the off topic section.

oh, and he is also looking for a home for said kitten, if anyone's interested

at any rate, have fun

Re: Cute Feral Kitten

A real cute kitten for sure

added a snapart pencil sketch layer with a luminosity blend, flattened and then ran the whole thing through flaming pear's kyoto color to create this quick drawing.

Cute Kitty Craig.

Going for an oil look; maybe on the Impasto side.

Re: Cute Feral Kitten

nice, lyle. definitely looks like oil

your clean up is pretty much what i was going to post originally, olbaldy. and i like the coloration on his/her face in your rendition. would never have gone with the blueish, but seems to work.

Craig, That blue just showed up.. I guess it was in the pic to start with or my old Puter thought it needed to be there..

Tis a small world indeed.. I first saw Ronviers work on a Worth1000 contest.. (great work BTW) then found out he is one of the very helpful people in a couple Photoshop news groups I frequent.. Seems like a really nice and helpful person
