There is not right or wrong for this thread It is different in that instead of one image it is a theme and anything goes,It is just a way of incorporating all different disciplines
Original photo is from stock exchange.[/QUOTE

And that is a great image very nice

I wrote this poem for my wife before we were married. I guess she liked it. This year we will celebrate our 35th anniversary.

Re: Valentine Challenge

Sonnet XVII

I don't love you as if you were the salt-rose, topaz
or arrow of carnations that propagate fire:
I love you as certain dark things are loved,
secretly, between the shadow and the soul.

I love you as the plant that doesn't bloom and carries
hidden within itself the light of those flowers,
and thanks to your love, darkly in my body
lives the dense fragrance that rises from the earth.

I love you without knowing how, or when, or from where,
I love you simply, without problems or pride:
I love you in this way because I don't know any other way of loving
but this, in which there is no I or you,
so intimate that your hand upon my chest is my hand,
so intimate that when I fall asleep it is your eyes that close.
-Pablo Neruda-

My favorite poet most likely. Sorry I submitted old work (one of my Wanderlust series) but it's gonna be seen where it needs to be and it is as true as the day I created it. Hope you enjoy the writing too.
Peace, hearts and roses to all of you. Never give up.

Re: Valentine Challenge

Thanks for the challenge. I have been playing with this adorable picture of my niece giving her big brother a kiss for years. This seemed like a perfect place for it. I used high pass filter and threshold to get a couple different edges and then blended them into the sillhouette.

Wow Cathy; stunning. I know your hubby got a kick out of this. Material things are a dime a dozen, but something that is created by one's heart are priceless.
