Creative Interpretations - Sari

I thought I'd give Swampy a rest and post something.
I've had this one for some time but never been able to get it how I wanted it.
Well I tried again, and I quite like how its come out this time.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what the masters can do with this.

Have fun.

Still on the tail end of my Metallics phase. I used Three Bar Sin gradient (GIMP) set to Overlay and a few other color enhancing tricks.

I resisted the temptation to say....who's sari now?....I'm sari...and things like, you folks are a sari lot!

Well actually I tried to resist.............sari about that.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Sari

Thanks for the break, Peter! LOL Yours is an excellent find and was really fun to work on.

PST, Used the impressionist feature to lay down the sepia colors in the background. Used a background of wood to obtain the color. Above painted back a saved Pattern of the black and white sketch of the original set to Color burn. Painted a layer of "dirt" texture on top of that also set to color burn. Then the top layer also set to color burn painted from an "artified" version of the original (also set to color burn), but just painted the woman. Some Hue/Sat adjustment on the woman layer.

Thank you, Vitali! :-) Ya made my day, which hasn't gone too well otherwise. Some 90 year old wrecked their car at the top of my driveway this morning and I've been without internet most of the day. I think it's back up now.

Very interesting workflow Swampy, and a very unique result. Cool!
Vitali-fabulous as always!

Sorry to hear about your internet woes Swampy. It is so frustrating when that happens!

Here's mine. I was fooling around with Impressionist, trying to do one thing. And ended up with this instead. Great photo Peter!!

Re: Creative Interpretations - Sari

I've got to agree with Sylvia there, I'm very impressed, even if Swampy gets favorable critiques about a different thread. LOL still like though Swampy.

Steve stop apologising, and by the way don't give up the day job.
Palms nice lighting effect there.
LK that looks slightly radioactive, nice glow.
Dron I was hoping it was booze, but most likely water good relief work on that one.
Frank yeah like it, nice simple border sets it off.
Jordan your getting to grips with impressionist there.
Sylvia OK how many layer and what were they doing? err please.

Peter

Re: Creative Interpretations - Sari

I wish I knew, Peter! But mostly, I used the pattern stamp tool, duplicated the layer, applied some Old Master (Impressionist plugin), played around with the opacity and merged the whole thing down.

Ah well can't complain, I can never recall everything I do myself, because I'm toooo lazy to make notes.
