| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Fall Leaves There are over 50 different actions listed in the Action Set "AHB_DannyR DPR ver 07A" and another 10 under "DannyR DPR ver 07B." All with excellent instructions
Studying how different aspects in these actions work has been a great learning aid while trying to figure out how to use this Photoshop thingy...
I understand that in your eyes these may be OLD (Vers 7)... but to me and a multitude of new Photoshop users they are NEW and Fresh and I want to thank you for sharing this great body of work!
I recently downloaded your "Raphael Tiger Sketch" action and used it here on these leaves with a background copy layed on top of the stack at about 50%.. To me it looks like the leaves have been misted

To clarify they're "old" from the perspective that I put that package together going on five years ago. I still use Photoshop 7.0 today. Functionally most of the actions are upward compatible to later Photoshop versions.
FYI: Those DPR collections were the inspiration for www.atncentral.com, developed by Jim Lewis, the site owner/admin. He did not like waiting for each new package / collection, hence the birth of a self-service download site dedicatedd to actions. re: ... to me and a multitude of new Photoshop users they are NEW and Fresh and I want to thank you for sharing this great body of work!
Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you are finding them useful. Putting together those packages was a great opportunity from which I learned a great deal. "New" is indeed often times a function of what one learns, not when an action was crafted. re: Studying how different aspects in these actions work has been a great learning aid while trying to figure out how to use this Photoshop thingy...
Couldn't agree more. You're following a similar path as me.
Dissecting an action, regardless of when it was written, is a great way to learn about Photoshop. Been doing this for years myself. Each action is a little capsule of someone's knowledge. |

and soon I'll hear old winter's song.
But I miss her most of all
when autumn leaves start to fall.

| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Fall Leaves I love swappin' words with Danny !
Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.
