Re: Creative Interpretations - Landscapes

Beautiful shots Amica999.

Added sky and reflection.
Modified perspective to give the comp more dynamic.
Curve for contrast.
Pumped saturation.
Blended impressionist chalk for artistic flavor.

Thank you, Kimlou I think i have gone to the dark side lately but it makes a change from the over saturated look i also like
Do i detect that you also are venturing into the dark and grungy style ?

Re: Creative Interpretations - Landscapes

Very nice Swampy, Berlin has more old buildings than you would like :-) Will keep your weekness in mind next time I go shooting, will take a while as winter came back :-)
Attached another one to bridge the waiting :-)

Re: Creative Interpretations - Landscapes

Palms, Painting soft watercolors has become a challenge since getting my Intel Mac and not having BUZZ available. I can get to BUZZ, but I have to quit Photoshop, set it for Rosetta mode, relaunch PS, do BUZZ, quit, reset Photoshop for Intel, then load the buzzed version. What a pain.

In the mean time I working on new ways to simplify an image for painting and I kind of liking the minimalist look I've been getting with cutout, drybrush and other filters when faded.

Getting just enough "painted" effect on the version that will be saved as the Pattern is 3/4 of the battle. The PST brushes themselves offer some great watercolor effects especially the ones with wet edges at mid to low opacity,

Re: Creative Interpretations - Landscapes

Here's my take on the other photo, obviously goin' for drama...

Cloned out power lines
Punched up sky
Perspective correction
Crop for composition
PWL against sepia vignette
Embossed painterly

Re: Creative Interpretations - Landscapes

Never really had much luck with the pattern stamp tool so I thought I'd give it another go (inspired by Swampy). So here's my first real attempt with the pst.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Landscapes

Kim- great job with the PST, sometimes I get really disappointed with it and other times I just love the results I get
Swampy- thanks for the PST tips

Everyone has done wonderful work, but Sylvia, your soft pastel look really stood out for me.
As for all the grungy looks, I went for something a bit more colorful. Maybe a bit too colorful, but at least I'm different
