Re: Old Man Revisited

I remember this "old gadgie" well, if this thread turns out as good as the first one did it will be a "belter".
Again Janet wonderful pics.

Re: Old Man Revisited

I remember painting that young man! Thanks for the wonderful pictures, Janet
Funny, how our style evolves over the years...
Here's my new version, all smudged, no plug-in used.

Re: Old Man Revisited

Ok, I hope I get this right. I'm not good at remembering what each individual person did. If I forget or slip up, don't take it personally. Tis just me.

Lyle: I like the India Ink. I think I would have gone just a tad lighter on the thickness of the lines. The Cheryl's preset is much better. I like that one.

Frank: Cool way to turn a gray beard black. Unique interpretation. Thumbs up with the HDR thing. How about a tutorial for a finished product from just one picture?

Steve: Three submissions are very individual. I like all three. The first one cross hatched; the second one with the squares is great; but the last one is Renaissance all the way. Great work!!!

Baldy: Yours almost looks as if you stippled the picture then put the colored version on top for effect. Very different, very unique. Your comments are very touching as well. Thank you.

Britsdad: I like the effect of the 1/2 sharp - 1/2 blur. It keeps me coming back to look over and over again.

Sylvia: What do I say? You took 15 years off Chester's face. Wonderful, marvelous and all without painful plastic surgery. Your smudge work is amazing.

Thanks all for participating. I'm enjoying the results here.

Janet

Re: Old Man Revisited

I enjoyed Mr. Plumlee's company the first time around. Nice to see him back.
Another Painter attempt here using Judy's "Painterly Soft" brush.

Re: Old Man Revisited

Janet,

I duplicated the image layer
Downloaded a trial copy of ReDynaMix HDR and applied these settings to the new layer. As best as I can remember...

Afterwards, I applied the Poster Edges filter that comes with Photoshop
