As Palms say - a very nice pic Swampy (both)
Did two, slightly edging towards the B&W for liking better.

QTPFSGUI to create the HDR and processed the HDR using CS2 and rendered using S/H and Paint Engine (@Wetter2 preset). Yes in Photoshop again. Have to keep training using Photoshop or I will forget how. lol

Re: Creative Interpretations - Cavalry

cool picture. this one just begged for either oil or regression. i chose the latter (since others do oils so much better).

Re: Creative Interpretations - Cavalry

very nice, steve.

and peter, there are at least three anachronisms in yours, though oddly, they dont seem to detract from the work. i like that 'canvas' you used there.

I can't even pronounce anachronisms, never mind anything else.
If one of them is the telegraph poles I left them in because they used to have them in the old west, they followed the train tracks I believe. The other two you'll have to tell me, I've no idea what they could be, you've got me puzzled now, I won't rest easy.
Now you won't say just to wind me up a little, aarrrghhh.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Cavalry

peter, ah, forgive me. the lines were one, but ok, i'll believe they're telegraphs the other two are the oil well/rig in the background. and even if you say that by counting the stars on the flag they are carrying indicates that oil wells would have existed, they wouldnt have existed in that form. and the third one is the flag on the flag pole... wrong number of stars

Craig the Historian and perfectionist. Nicely spotted, American history is sadly not one of my strong points. I'm inclined to think they are an early example of time travellers just a little lost.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Cavalry

Man, you guys have really gone to town on this one.
I was trying to channel Frederic Remington, but I think he was on another channel. Not sure what I wound up with.

CS2, Painter and Lightroom.

I think I'm not done playing with this one.
