Blossoms

Tis springtime in the rainy mid-south. I took these in between thumderboomers the other day. Enjoy painting and playing with them.

Re: Blossoms

gorgeous flowers. dont cha just love that spring is finally here?

filter forge authors are pretty clever. they're also pretty odd at times there are many distortion and warped types of filters in the current library. this was one i just happened to be playing with earlier today and so, it was set as the default when i opened up the flower image in it. i thought it was novel enough to post.

edit: ok, another filter forge filter treatment on this second one:

Re: Blossoms

nice, steve. very painterly.

and palms, i like your use of textures lately, this one included. that one sort of looks like someone spray painted on an adobe or sandstone wall. very cool

Re: Blossoms

Craig that 1st one is spooky, looks like something out of ALIEN, I don't want to be around when they hatch. - very good.

Steve Glad to see you not going cold turkey on the flower front - I like that

Palms weren't you the one who said she was no good at textures - if I remember, well you certainly learn fast. Thats good.

Janet Lovely pictures, thank You.

Peter

Peter i might of said that ! ! ( us women can change our minds you know )
What i struggle with and don't particularly like is using the texturizer so i drag the textures on top of the image and use blend modes etc

And may i ask what are you doing lately your flowers are lovely crisp and clear as was your cavalry ?

US women, what have American women got to do with it?

I've gone of the texturiser myself it seems easier to do on a separate layer, easier to fade and mask that way.

Now for the second part there, I've been paying more attention to detail and sharpening lately, thanks for that one.

Re: Blossoms

Really nice work all. I've been expecting a few comments about "more" flowers but so far haven't seen one. It must be the season.

Thanks for playing. Here is mine.
