Re: Tulips

Unlike some, whose names I won't mention, I never get tired of flowers.

And yes they make much easier models than children. My 2yo has already started saying "no mama, no picture" with his hands over his face! The 4yo still does the forced cheesy grin. And the 5yo has reached the point where she poses but does goofy looking faces. Give me a tulip any day! (And mine are almost ready to bloom!)

Palms half the battle is over by recognising the problem with an addiction. You must be making progress.
Me I don't care I revel in my addictions, thanks for the pics.
This may not look like it but it is a smudge.

Guilloche Stitch

A few days ago I stumbled upon a cool technique for creating Guilloche renderings. In refining the technique, I found that I really made for some cool stitch renderings too, so that's what I'm currently using it for. Here's the full rendering; attached is a lower quality crop.

You're embarrassed? How do you think I feel trying to come up with new ides for flower art!!?

I probably used $300 worth of software getting this.......

Yes, indeed.

I like "no backtalk, no complaining" subjects, too!

Impressionist, Paint Engine, Photoshop Sprayed Strokes, frame by ePaperpress.com action.

Re: Tulips

decided to do some warp painting... sort of like smudge painting or clone painting, but you use a warp brush.

Re: Tulips

Craig- I've never heard of warp painting before, very neat effect, glass or metallic
Danny- love the subtleness of yours, and I am loving that frame action you've been using!
(I checked out epaperpress and they have tons of info it seems)

Re: Tulips

thanks, palms

thanks, jordan

there were some other treatments in there as well. some threshold and blend modes and some other stuff. the warp brush is a brush tool in psp similar to the warp mesh tool, except it's a single brush for warping. i dont know if photoshop has that or not.

very lovely, janet!
