| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Southern Church Nice photo, it reminds me of one of my first lessons when I took some Photography courses back in the late 50s..
Tried to make a watercolor out of this one. |

| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Southern Church Great job guys! Baldy, your interpretation reminds me of a tapestry. DC, yours is one of the best watercolors I have seen on this site. What program did you use?
How about this MN weather. We received 14 more inches of the white stuff last Thursday and Friday. |

| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Southern Church Strange weather here in Ks also.. a few snow flakes the past couple days too... but supposed to be 74 degrees in a couple days.
Next time I try a water color I think I will leave off the texture.. it is more of a distraction than a help and water colors are usually on paper rather than canvas anyway aren't they? |

| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Southern Church PM - thanks for the kind words. I used this tute in CS2. I don't remember where I first came upon it but I was reintroduced to it in a thread at Innographx the other day. I'd forgotten about it, as I'm more and more inclined to do these days.
You must be up north a bit - we only got a couple inches of slushy stuff here in the western 'burbs, and it's pretty much gone now. Sounds like this might be the end of it but you never know. It is, after all, Minnesota. |

| | | Patch for Southern Church Been working on my stitching technique again. Still using my Impressionist Thread preset, but edging effects are now added too. Also added a border. |

| | | Re: Creative Interpretations - Southern Church Great church shot. You could plunk this church down in any southern town and it would feel right at home.
Pencil sketch with wash... |
