| | | Dancers I had company last week and with them came the opportunity to watch some performers. Sadly, no flash allowed. But I managed to bump the ISO up to 800 and catch this shot.
Enjoy.

| | | Re: Dancers Great shot JP. Isn't it amazing what you can capture these days with high ISO and have it turn out this good? Well done.
#1 - I'm tinkering with the CS3 BW adjustment layer. Added a little grain on a separate layer while I was at it.
#2 - Based on AFrazier method. |

| | | Re: Dancers Great conversion Danny. The BW adjustment layer in CS3 is simply wonderful. I'm glad you are enjoying and experimenting.

| | | Flame Nymphs. Used one of the stand-a-lone flames as a sample and used GIMP's Resynthesizer filter to create this rendering (for the most part). |

Palms | Pans People - who are they?
But I bet you've been to see "Cats" though.
Janet thanks for pushing that ISO nice pic.

| | | Re: Dancers Sorry for not replying to the posts. I've been out of pocket for a few days and had lots of catch up to do once I got back home.
I really like that everyone follows his/her own path and all the individuality I see when I look at the work. I thought this was a pretty hard pic to work with. Yet again, I've been pleasantly surprised by all the talented, great interpretations.
Thanks again for having fun with this picture.
Here's mine.

| | Re: Dancers Nice orignal image, I always liked shooting state lighting. I had to photograph the members of "Stomp" once and what a treat sometimes to shoot something already lit for you. It can be real dark or blown out sometimes but the 70-200/2.8 makes it a breeze. I'd suggest that lens to anyone. Thanks for the image.
Everyone did a great job but Danny, Joeven and Peter. Kudos, nice schtufff!!
I love those bubbles and a great job rendering them. Reminds me of a movie "Photographing Fairies." If you guys have not seen that I'd suggest it, nice film.
