I had a hard time figuring what to do with Rocks..
Finally came up with

Created this seamless texture. Rather large (around 500K), so just providing a link. I created it in Ubuntu since the GIMP Texturize filter crashes a lot in Windows (via VMWare of course).

Craig, this one is a keeper. It would make a great background for a lot of things I could imagine. I like the "plastic wrap" type texture. But then I'm a sucker for textures anyway. You should see the huge folder on my hard drive .

Thanks Palms; I used the 3D capabilities of Image Analyzer (Meesoft) to texture map a depth map of a Dino (I had used this Dino before; lol).
