Almost from the minute I saw this post, I knew what I wanted to do. After extracting the poppy head from the original picture, I combined it with a poppy I had painted a couple of years ago.

Thanks for the great picture to play with.

Janet nice comp there, sorry I missed when you posted.
Well this Poppy case opened (actually some time last week), and here is the result,

My poppys are just showing there buds so are way behind yours
but one good thing will of come out of it, when they do flower i will be able to ask you how you got yours to be red in the photo, last year when i took some snaps they went a very annoying orange


Peter do you think that with all the flower photo's lately we have scared Steve off havent seen him post in a while ! and i do miss his posts i mean who else will i learn poetry from ?

I have to admit they are not really colour tweaked for the red, just maybe I increased the Sat a little but thats all. It might be the way your camera handles reds, I think purple is difficult for digi cams so maybe reds also.

As for Steve he has gone into Flower rehab I think, after all this has been a little of an overdose lately, either that or he has asthma

Recently made some huge strides with my fake smudging technique (yes still requires GREYCStoration filter).

You have made great strides Ikroll but this smudger would not of attempted this picture to many spikes there
