| | | Colored Cocker I have played around with digital painting. But since I found this section, man this is fun!!
I haven't done a whole lot, just a few. I don't know about painting, so I don't know what type this would be called, but I really enjoyed it.
What do you all think? Am I doing this right?
It would be cool to see some idea's ya'll come up with too if you wish. I'll link the original for those who wish to play.
I left his eyes, and the right side of the picture non painted. I tried to kind of fade the painting to normal.

| | | Re: Colored Cocker Rohape! Welcome to RetouchPRO. You're off to a great start! Wonderful image to work on. Thank you!
I don't have much patience when it comes to smudging so I take the easy way and do it in Liquify. Added sharpening, some High Pass, Bas Relief and other stuff.
Here's my version. |

| | | Re: Colored Cocker Oh wow Swampy! It looks like the kind of painting where the paint is real thick and you use like a little mortar tool to shape the paint. (told you I didn't know much about painting) How cool!
I know as much as the puffy clouds...that Bob guy who used to paint on TV.
Thank you for the welcome!
I look forward to all the fun!
I'm also working on some restoration work, which is how I found this site. I have the pleasure of restoring some old photos, one as old as 1912!! |

| | | Re: Colored Cocker Thank you, Rohape.
I just can't get into restoration or retouching. I find it very tedious and at my age I can foregoe the tedium... LOL |

| | | Re: Colored Cocker Amen to that, Rohape. There are so many neat things you can do in CS3. The only thing I miss is BUZZ. I run Photoshop in Rosetta mode (Mac) just to have it handy. |

| | | Re: Colored Cocker Wow, these are all great! It's so cool to see all the different ideas everyone uses. Makes me miss my buddy even more now. I'll see him in a few months.
They are great, we have 2. This guy is our super ball, going all the time. I'll have to mess around with some pics of our other one. She's all black, with a nice white patch on her chest.
Thank you for all the great "paintings" everyone! |
