Re: Creative Interpretations - Iris

I love Iris's, one of my favorite flowers!

used Photoshop, Impressionist and Filter Forge, I was trying for a conte drawing type effect, then got carried away with the texture.

slightly better resolution here

Alcar, I really admire your watercolors, your loose painty style is really lovely.

Intended to work a fabric weaver on this to make a needlepoint but didn't like it so I ended up with this instead.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Iris

I'm late with this one. It's been on my list of things-to-do. Fantastic photo to work with. Thanks!

Extract, color adjustments (also Flaming Pare's Mr. Contrast), Distortion/Glass. PST on the Iris. Varigated chalk brush for background, motion blur, sharpen, texture added.

Re: Creative Interpretations - Iris

Palms, you should have a chalk brush in the Adobe standard media brushes. I modified one with wet edges, texture and some Color Dynamics to jitter the foreground and background colors.
