Re: An old car to play with Peter S, every time I see what I consider your signature style, I'm impressed. Perhaps you've been asked and have provided your workflow process for this style in the past, but for those of us who weren't paying attention, could you reiterate?

Re: An old car to play with Lonnie thanks for the compliment, I don't think I've got anything to teach you, I was hoping to see some of your workflows. This was a very quick one, and I don't make notes - sorry. But saying that I would have used remove noise a a strong level, then used Lucis at a low level (or it sometimes spoils colours if used heavily) I remember duping this layer and using Render lighting effects (Omni), and possibly aniso. Then masking the car (Very loosely ) then blurring the lower layer a little with Gaussian Blur. Then as I'm still messing with Luce (a freebie), so I know I applied it here as well. There is a Bas relief layer there as well at a low opacity, and a texture layer overlaid (blank 50% grey), done with Impressionist (no brush strokes). A little colour tweaking as well. Sorry it's so vague. Peter

Re: An old car to play with Thanks for the play Frank. Sweetlight you have a ghost driver but I like the effect! Nice sketch Lyle Palms when you mess around Art exudes from your finger tips Peter whatever combination you are using it seems to be the right formula.. nice work Steve looks like that "Bucket O' Bolts" is sitting in a puddle of water.. no wonder it is rusty! Very Artsy. Alan I think yours is ready to hang on my wall.. Nice! Joe you cleaned it up nice.. looks like the family might be out fishing or gathering fire wood or something.. It no longer looks like such a junker! Dan you almost made it look like the 1939 Lancia Astura I drove around France and Europe in the early 50's Cathy that background is just right for showing off the car.. Good Job! Craig, Is that you in the drivers seat? This Pic tells an entire story. Great presentation... Looks like a scene actually captured in the backwoods in NC.. Great effects! Vitali, very pleasant image.. well done, easy on the eyes.. looks great!

Re: An old car to play with Gotta agree, great dust and grit, Craig. Wonderful old car, Frank. I went kind of "chalky". With the price of gas being what it is today, I though it might be fun to put this car in a filling station. LOL Composit, color adjustments, Buzz, PST.

Re: An old car to play with Thanks Peter for your workflow overview. That's very helpful (even though I don't have any of the tools mentioned.) Keep up the great work. I love the style. There are many great interpretations herein, especially the re-composites.

Re: An old car to play with Frank, thanks for the play. There are a lot of great ones here, but Alan, yours floored me. I love the way you boil things down to their essence. How, please, do you do this stuff? Mine's a PainterX/CS2 job.

Re: An old car to play with I love the feeling of action in yours Craig; very realistic, imho. For mine, I used little ink pot for the sketch effect and then played with layer blends until I ended up with this. Used eye candy for the frame.

Re: An old car to play with DC, many thanks for your kind comment. You asked how I did my car image. I used the Art History Brush on a light blue background. The AHB strokes seem to take on a nice coloration on a background like this. Then a sketch was placed over it and painted on using a black mask. I use this as a touch up...and very sparingly to preserve the brush texture. All in all, this is a simple technique and usually accomplished in about thirty minutes. Alan
