Virtual Ironing

This is the Flatiron building in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. I think anyone who has ever been to this tourist/art community has taken a picture of this building. Now I'm included.

Here it is for you to paint. Enjoy.

Re: Virtual Ironing

i love architecture like this. creative. and well done on the shot, janet. came out very well!

this is a simple little mod of the image using some blur, threshold and blend modes.

edit: decided to do another, this time in Filter Forge.

Re: Virtual Ironing

Craig: I like #2 the best of the two. It has a sort of embossed, 3-d feel to it. The texture you used makes the whole thing pop.

Dron: I love the simple, bold lines and colors. It is a lot like I would picture it if it were colored in a coloring book or as a cartoon.

Lyle: I like the sort of abstractedness (I know that isn't a real word ) to the rendition. Good job.

Palms: WOW, great water color style. But the negative spaces you left in the sky really take this picture from dull to a real work of art.

Swampy: What do I say? Simply wonderful as always. The soft, delicate arty feel mixed with the texture really make the picture.

Thanks for ironing folks.

Janet
