Retro WPA Poster look

I would like to replicate the look of these old WPA silk screened prints. I like the work of Paul A. Lanquist in this older style, but I have no idea if he is doing these digitally or not.

I am looking for a tut or a work flow for Photoshop. Cut-out and or posterization don't get it. buZZ comes closer and may work with more experimenting.

Thanks
Dave Wetterstroem

Re: Retro WPA Poster look

do you have a image that could be used, that way more people may be interested in "having" a try ?

Chillin, I have used Illustrator enough to know that I would have no idea where to start with this. Mostly used if for sign designs.

Re: Retro WPA Poster look

This is a mixture of buzz and cut out are we any where near yet ? I think the colour could be muted some now and that might help get it nearer ?

I think the main problem is going to be the type of image used, the original examples are quite simple in themselves very little detail etc by comparision it makes this image look busy

Although that said it is a great photo
