Yes, I know what is in the Hebrew. Look at the title of the picture. If you lived there, you will know by the title.

Janet

Oh, and P.S. Thanks for the compliment. It means a lot.

Re: creative Interpretations - Hijab and eyes

Just doodeling while having a coffee.

I just have to say that since I joined RetouchPro I have come to admire people like Swampy,Ikroll,Vitali,Palms, OlBaldy, Sylvia and others like you.
You are the true artists in this forum.
I can manipulate photo's in a lot of different ways but one thing I have trouble with is "painting". I have'nt an artistic bone in my body, I know it takes practice, but when your already behind the "8" ball i'ts even harder.
I've watched Swampy's exellent tutorials and others, maybe Swampy or one of you can write a tutorial like "Windows for dummy's" books, and make it easier for "dummy's" like me.
Barry.

I think most of us felt like you when we started out, you are right it takes practice, reading and experimenting, just jump in ask questions read through old posts and what i think is important is to realise that techniques dont work the same on all images some times it works, others it dosn't. even more important is to have FUN

Barry,

Thank you for yor comments on my tutorials. They are meant to get you started and give you some idea of the possibilities out there.

Like Palms said, just jump in and have at it. Every project is different and different brushes make for different looks. I can't count the number of times I have worked on a project many times just to experiment. Trying new blending modes, moving layers up and down the stack, adjusting opacity, adding textures. It's not like it is "work". It's just fun!

Hello Swampy and Palms,

Thankyou both for you advice, I Know it takes practice and more practice, what I have to do is practice more patience.(lol)

Swampy, do you mind if I call you Dee Dee? and how is your new grandson Jackson doing?

Barry.

My preference is Swampy. Only because it's what I've used as my screen name since 1983. You'd be surprised at the number of people that I have lost touch with over all my "online life" who have seen it in a forum thread somewhere and been in touch. Voices from my past.

Baby's doing great. Gaining weight and settling in. :-)
