Used Car

We haven't had a car for a while. Enjoy painting this one that has seen better days.

On the sketchy side.

I haven't been commenting as I should, but first, I have to say that I've been liking what I've seen of your work of late Al. This one is definitely a keeper too.

Anyway, thanks for sharing and the play Janet.

It just needs a coat of paint and it's ready to go.

Re: Used Car

Nothing too serious. Just a quick hack with the history brush and various filters, photoshop's own crystalize, plastic wrap and chrome, Eye Candy 4000 Glass, Mehdi Edges FX and Xero Iridium. That's all I think.

Nice pic to work with.

Re: Used Car

I'm loving all the responses so far. I thought there might be lots of possibilities when I posted and ya'll haven't disappointed me. Thumbs up.

Alcar: I love what you can do with Impressionist. I bow to a master.

Lyle: Interesting use of line in this one. I wouldn't have thought about doing the picture this way. But it works.

Smak: I like the simplistic cutout that gives the picture a cartooned feel. I can almost see Bugs Bunny and the crew in this picture.

Crazyfly: I like the Gothic feel. The dark, moody, and boldness of execution work well with this.

Joeven: I had to laugh. This looks ready to rumble. Great paint job.

Alexmeta: Nice work!! I love the detail and pop you achieved.

Steve Conway: WOW! Bright. Bold. Suitable for framing! You have outdone yourself on this one.

Secretagents: I like the funkiness. I like the creative use of filters.

Now, finally I get to post. Don't laugh, but I did the wrong view of the car and had to start over with this view. Time for a nap.

"Those where the days"

I'll bet Steve knows the rest of the words to that song.

Being chronologically challenged as I am, that song is a "newbie" in my list of remembered songs.

Re: Used Car

Oltenius: Great combination of detail and looser, more free edges for a great arty feel.

Dkcoats: I like how you harmonized the color palette and really made the car the focus of the picture. Great interplay of color there.
