Newbie Paris Street Mall anyone?

I took this several years back with a 2 megapixel kodak camera. What can you do with it? This is the only thing I can think of right now.

Of course they loaded backwards. will I never learn to put the first one first?

Fantastic, Craig!

Gunner: You know my weak spot when it comes to street scenes and old buildings! Wonderful image!

PST with some funky brushes and layer styles added.

Re: Paris Street Mall anyone?

I never realized how many different works could come out of what I consider the least of the two shots I took of that Parisian street. I will put the other one up today and see what you all come up with on that one. Can't wait, it's so exciting to see all the talent at work here.

Hey, Gunner, it's easy to paint when you have such great material to work with. :-)

great strokes on the first one, vitali. not sure what you call the second one, a crayon sketch? and a nice charcoal on the third.

Re: Paris Street Mall anyone?

I did the challenge as a cyanotype to emphasize the architectural details

It can be seen at

I'm new so if I've not handled the picture upload properly let me know and I'll try to do better.

Re: Paris Street Mall anyone?

Hi, Netchess, Welcome to RTP.

Your uploaded image was a bit small. HEREs a link to how to size your uploads correctly. I use the "Save for Web & Devices" in Photoshop to set correct file size.
Generally, I adjust the image pixel size to about 800-850 on the longest dimensiion, then adjust the quality to get it under 100K.

Re: Paris Street Mall anyone?

Thank you kindly, Swampy.
There's a larger image at the Link given in the message.
I wasn't sure about how to attach a file so the thumb would link to the larger image.
I think I've got it figured out now.

I used Layers/Channel Mixer monochrome then used Layers/Curves to emphasize blue and lower red.
