Creative interpretations: SF Ghirardelli choc shop

This photo was taken by my wife's niece during a recent trip to San Francisco, California.

Ghirardelli chocolates are famous in San Francisco. (They are a little too sweet for me, but...)

Anyway, looked like a pic with potential, so enjoy.

Re: Creative interpretations: SF Ghirardelli choc

Just did one of these and still keeping to that motif. Since watercolor renderings is what I started out many years ago, I thought I would go retro (with a little more talent then I had then).

I am such a chocolate freak. Would love to go there and would probably stuff myself until I was sick as a dog. Fun play.

Fine work, Danny! All that is missing is the $35,000 price tag.

Re: Creative interpretations: SF Ghirardelli choc

thanks, swampy

lately, i've been studying the old masters with the idea of trying to duplicate their styles in filter forge filters. well, 'duplicate' may be a bit of a stretch... approximate would be a bit closer the 'renoir' is fair. you shld see the van Gogh. it's horrible so far renoir, to me, was only about half impressionist and still tied closely to the older, classical masters. that makes it easier to approximate his style. van Gogh, on the other hand, was a true impressionist who used bold, sweeping strokes and this makes it MUCH harder to duplicate in a filter that can take a photograph and turn it into even an approximate van gogh. but, i'm working on it
